Graduates of the 9th cohort
Graduates of the SGMF Leadership Academy’s 9th cohort were honored May 11 with a ceremony at BikeSGV headquarters. Andrew Yip (BikeSGV) served as MC for the event, and we heard from the coordinator of the program, Duyen Tran (Wilderness Society), about the recent cohort and successes of past graduates. Keynote speaker Charles Thomas Jr. (Outward Bound Adventures) inspired the audience with his talk about being “inspirationally dissatisfied,” and the night’s student speaker, Bonnie Rodriguez, shared her personal story about being called to the mountains. Finally, SGMF Chair Omar Gomez (COFEM) shared coalition milestones and goals with the guests. Go, grads!
