San Gabriel Valley Community Education Course

Welcome to our community education series in the San Gabriel Valley!

If you are having trouble registering, make sure you first have created your own free Zoom login/account at https://zoom.us, and are using that e-mail address to register. This is to keep our meetings secure.

In this course, attendees will learn about parks, water, public lands, opportunities to increase park equity in underserved communities, and get outdoors! Participants who complete the course receive a certificate and become eligible for our next round of Nature for All Community Ambassador training!

The course consists of 3 Wednesday evening meetings online + 1 in-person tour in the San Gabriel Mountains and watershed parks. In-person tour* information will be given to participants who attend all classes. *For the in-person tour, proof of Covid-19 vaccination, or a negative Covid-19 test result within 72 hours, and masks while in shared vehicles are strictly required.

Leadership Development program: Our Focus

Nature for All has developed an educational curriculum to provide orientation presentations, Community Base-Building educational trainings, Leadership Development trainings, and Train of Trainers to offer community members a wide variety of engagement opportunities based on their time capacity, levels of interest, and knowledge of the issues. The newest part of our Leadership Development program is our Community Ambassador Trainings, which we implemented in three target regions: the San Fernando Valley, South East LA and the San Gabriel Valley.


Our Impact

In 2019, we offered: 

  • 18 community orientations, with 490 participants
  • 12 Community Base Building trainings, with 177 participants
  • 3 Leadership Development trainings, with 61 participants
  • 1 Train of Trainers training, with 12 graduates
