COVID-19 Update: We are working on ways to connect with our community virtually. Stay tuned!
To cultivate volunteers and supporters and build a diverse legacy of stewardship, with a focus on empowering underserved community members.
Nature For All is building a legacy of environmental stewardship by empowering underserved community members to advocate for the protection and enhancement of our forests, mountains, parks, rivers and watershed areas. We develop the next generation of leaders through our robust Leadership Development Program (the Program), which comprise of:
- Leadership Development trainings- 4-week-long (or shorter, as needed) advocacy and organizing training program
- The Nature for All Leadership Academy (the Academy)- a six-month advocacy and organizing training program
- The Stewards group – Leadership Academy alumni who continue volunteering for the coalition, and
- coalition member organization-hosted leadership programs that align with our core goal, the main and only one this year being the Council of Mexican Federations promotores program.
Nature For All has successfully completed the first time a cycle of its Leadership Development Program ladder. Nature for All has developed programming and curriculum to successfully implement each of its levels of the leadership development ladder. We have developed one pagers and secured tabling opportunities at community events all across LA county to inform the community about our comprehensive, SGMF, parks, access and water resiliency program. Nature for all has developed an educational curriculum to provide orientation presentations, Community Base Building educational trainings, Leadership Development trainings, Leadership Academy and Train of Trainers to offer community members a wide variety of engagement of opportunities based on their time capacity, levels of interest and knowledge of the issues. After Nature for All lead volunteers completed the Train of Trainers cohort, they have started recruiting and providing community presentations and classes to identify and develop new leaders in our community. Nature For All lead trainers have successfully provided 18 community orientations and 6 community Base Building trainings since completing their training.
