The above infographic was created by Nikki Hermann, an intern with SGMF member organization The Wilderness Society. She’s been working on outreach to mental health professionals, asking for support of our efforts to preserve and improve the San Gabriel Mountains for the benefit of our communities.
“I have personally found solace in nature—going outdoors is a way for me to get away from the stresses of daily life and remind myself about what is truly important to me in this world, ” she said. “To now see so much research showing the power of nature gives me hope for the future of our cities and the well-being of our communities.”
