Good news: The City of Duarte is offering a free shuttle van that will run between Fish Canyon Falls Trailhead and the Duarte/City of Hope Gold Line station on Saturdays, from 7 am and 6 pm, in April and May. The rides will begin Saturday, April 9. The shuttle stop is on the west side of Highland Avenue by the Gold Line Station parking lot.
“What a great service for our communities,” said Omar Gomez, the San Gabriel Mountains Forever Chair. “With the recent opening of Metro’s Gold Line Extension, this is another great win for county-wide efforts to get more transit-to-parks. One of the San Gabriel Mountains Forever priorities is to get more access to the San Gabriel National Monument and surrounding areas. We know that with more public transit to parks and open, green space, we can improve the lives of Angelelos, especially those who could benefit the most. We look forward to seeing more great efforts like this one.”
